Dramatic soprano Susan Tsagkaris backstage

" What a voice! Full, voluminous, resonant, while being able to blend with the chorus when required. Her sighs in the Agnus Dei moved more than one. Her remarkable ease with changing from the serious to the light allows her to concentrate entirely on the meaning of the text"  - Le Devoir

( Montreal)

Described as an operatic powerhouse, heroic dramatic soprano Susan Tsagkaris possesses the stamina and strength to take on the most dramatic female roles written. Susan has recently been heard by some of the world's finest Wagner/Strauss experts who agree she is clearly on the path to international stages in the rare Hochdramtischer Sopran (high heroic dramatic soprano) category. Susan is an accomplished singer and actress with extensive experience,  performing with major opera companies and symphonies in Canada and abroad, and early training with the Canadian Opera Company. Niche roles that she looks forward to performing are; Isolde, Elektra, Die Färberin, and Brünnhilde (all three Wagner Ring operas), Salome, and Turandot, a role she triumphed in, with her recent American debut.
